Rather predictable result in Stockholm where fifth ranked Alvik Basket (6-3) defeated 7th ranked Wetterbygden (3-6) 88-72 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-72. Alvik Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Wetterbygden's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Wetterbygden's players. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alvik Basket maintains fifth position with 6-3 record. Wetterbygden lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with six games lost. Alvik Basket will face bottom-ranked Visby Ladies (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Wetterbygden will play against Norrkoping Dolphins (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
