Regular Season Round 52: Minnesota T. - LA Clippers 117-124

Date: December 13, 2019
Very significant was Clippers' (#2, 20-7) victory against 4th ranked Timberwolves (10-15) 124-117. Clippers made 35-of-39 free shots (89.7 percent) during the game. Timberwolves were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Paul George (206-90, college: Fresno St.) who helped to win the game recording 46 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Kawhi Leonard (201-91, college: San Diego St.) who added 42 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (made all of his nineteen free throws !!!) during the contest. At the losing side Dominican-American power forward Karl-Anthony Towns (213-95, college: Kentucky) responded with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and Canadian guard Andrew Wiggins (203-95, college: Kansas) scored 34 points (!!!) (made all of his eight free throws). Four Timberwolves players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Clippers have a solid four-game winning streak. They used an opportunity after Philadelphia 76 lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Timberwolves lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the third place with 15 games lost. Clippers will face Bulls (#4) in Chicago in the next day.
