Regular Season Round 10: Rustavi - BC Titebi 66-71

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Rustavi (4-5) was defeated at home by ninth ranked BC Titebi (4-5) 71-66 on Friday. Rustavi trailed by 16 points at halftime and as many as 18 after three quarters before a 26-13 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 66-71 at the end of the game. BC Titebi had a 36-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. American point guard Corey Spence (175-92, college: N.Colorado, agency: Mansfield and Associates) scored 22 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Tristin Walley (201-96, college: Arkansas St., agency: One Motive Sports) chipped in 13 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international point guard Otar Pkhakadze (188-93, college: Simpson, CA) responded with 16 points, 8 assists and 5 steals and American guard Denzel Livingston (193-93, college: UIW) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Rustavi's coach Giorgos Ketselidis tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. BC Titebi moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Rustavi. BC Titebi will meet at home Kutaisi (#8) in the next round. Rustavi will play against Tskhum-Abkhazeti in Tbilisi and hope to secure a win.
