Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Rivas (9-3) won against at home 6th ranked Tenerife Naut. (7-7) 82-76 on Saturday. Tenerife Naut. was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for power forward Angel Gomez (197-87) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds. Center Alejandro Relano (205-93) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Latvian power forward Rihards Berzins (209-97) answered with 14 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Alberto Cabrera (178-98) added 18 points in the effort for Tenerife Naut.Four Tenerife Naut. players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Rivas moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Real Madrid II and Quintanar. Loser Tenerife Naut. dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Rivas will face league's leader Alcobendas at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
