Regular Season Round 13: Andorra - Tenerife 76-86

Round 13 games in the Liga Endesa were marked by very close results. The first upset was a home defeat of 4th placed Andorra (7-6) to fifth ranked CB Canarias (8-5) 86-76 in the game for the fourth place. It ended the two-game winning streak of Andorra. CB Canarias shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international Santiago Yusta (200-97) stepped up and scored 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and the former international forward Daniel Diez (202-93) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. CB Canarias' coach Jesus Vidorreta used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Serbian center Dejan Musli (213-91, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and Bosnian-Serbian Dejan Todorovic (196-94) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. CB Canarias moved-up to fourth place. Andorra at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with 6 other teams. CB Canarias are looking forward to face Gran Canaria (#7) in Las Palmas in the next round. Andorra will play on the road against the league's leader Real Madrid and is hoping to win this game.
