Regular Season Round 53: Toronto R. - Brooklyn N. 110-102
Date: December 14, 2019
Very significant was Raptors' (#3, 17-8) victory against 4th placed Nets (13-12) 110-102. Raptors made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Nets turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Raptors made 10 blocks. Cameroonian forward Pascal Siakam (206-94, college: N.Mexico St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Spanish center Marc Gasol (216-85) chipped in 17 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Spencer Dinwiddie (198-93, college: Colorado) responded with 24 points and 8 assists and forward Taurean Prince (201-94, college: Baylor) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Five Raptors and four Nets players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion (17-8) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Dallas M. Loser Nets keep the fourth place with 12 games lost. Raptors will have a break next day. Nets will play at home against the league's leader 76ers (#1) and hope to win that game.
