Regular Season Round 10: H.Tel-Aviv - Maccabi T-A 84-91

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tel-Aviv: Maccabi T-A (#1) and Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#6). Hapoel Tel-Aviv was defeated at home 84-91 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hapoel Tel-Aviv. Maccabi T-A looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for Greek-American Tyler Dorsey (193-96, college: Oregon, agency: Wasserman) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 5 assists. The former international power forward Jake Cohen (208-90, college: Davidson) contributed with 13 points and 5 assists for the winners. American power forward Latavious Williams (203-89, agency: BeoBasket) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and international Tomer Ginat (202-94) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Hapoel Tel-Aviv. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Maccabi T-A (10-0) have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 10 victories in a row. Hapoel Tel-Aviv at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Maccabi T-A are looking forward to face Galil Gilboa (#9) in Rosh Pina in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play on the road against Ironi Nes-Ziona in Nes Ziyona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
