Regular Season Round 13: Goierri - Solares 92-86

There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Goierri (3-9) won against at home higher ranked Solares (7-5) 92-86 on Saturday. Strangely Solares outrebounded Goierri 44-29 including 34 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for center Inigo de-la-Hera (-99) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 6 rebounds. Inigo Lasa (192-98) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Forward Sergio Garcia (195-95) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and British forward Connor Murtagh (196-94) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Solares. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Goierri maintains thirteenth place in Group A-A with 3-9 record. Loser Solares keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Goierri will face league's leader Easo in San Sebastian in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Solares will play at home against the league's second-placed Pas Pielagos (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
