Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Leganes and 6th ranked Real Celta Vigo had identical 6-4 record. This time Leganes used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Vigo 72-58 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Leganes. Real Celta Vigo was better in third quarter 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Real Celta Vigo 41-24 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Montenegrin power forward Kristina Rakovic (186-94) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian forward Elo Edeferioka (188-93, college: Georgia Tech) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds and forward Celia Garcia-Panuero (180-95, college: UIW) added 12 points in the effort for Real Celta Vigo. Real Celta Vigo's coach gave the chance to play for eleven players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Leganes. They moved-up to fifth place in Group A, which they share with Alcobendas. Loser Real Celta Vigo dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Leganes will face Pozuelo (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Real Celta Vigo will play against ADBA (#13) in Aviles and hope to win that game.
