Regular Season Round 12: Sarcedo - Moncalieri 78-75

Moncalieri (10-1) recorded its first loss on the court of eighth ranked Sarcedo on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by Sarcedo 78-75. Sarcedo forced 19 Moncalieri turnovers. Strangely Moncalieri outrebounded Sarcedo 48-34 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was swingman Anna Colombo (175-92) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Federica Iannucci (172-93) chipped in 21 points. At the other side the best for losing team was center Valeria Trucco (190-99) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and German forward Stefanie Grigoleit (186-89) added 17 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Four Moncalieri players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Sarcedo (7-5) moved-up to seventh place in A2. Moncalieri at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Sarcedo are looking forward to face higher ranked Carugate (#5) in Corugate in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Moncalieri will play at home against Bolzano BK (#4) and is hoping to win this game.
