Very important is a road loss of third ranked Jilin Tigers (11-6) against fifth ranked Flying Leopards (12-5) on Saturday night. Visiting Jilin Tigers were defeated by Flying Leopards in Yingkou 115-105. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Jilin Tigers. Flying Leopards players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Zhao Jiwei (185-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 assists and American forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU) who added 26 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five Flying Leopards players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) responded with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Jilin Tigers' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Flying Leopards have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Beijing Ducks. Jilin Tigers at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Guangsha L.. Flying Leopards will play against Eagles (#11) in Qingdao in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jilin Tigers will play at home against Leopards (#14) and hope to get back on the winning track.
