Regular Season Round 13: Firenze - Alba 82-63

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Firenze (9-3) crushed at home 5th ranked Alba (7-5) 82-63 on Saturday. Firenze forced 21 Alba turnovers and outrebounded them 46-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for guard Simone Berti (196-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized Serbian power forward Bogdan Milojevic (200-98) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Firenze players scored in double figures. Firenze's coach Andrea Niccolai allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Diego Terenzi (190-95) answered with 23 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Cristian De-Bartolomeo (-0) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Alba. Firenze maintains third place with 9-3 record having four points less than leader Fabriano, which they share with Monfalcone. Loser Alba dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Firenze will face Capo d'Orlando (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Alba will play against USE Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
