Regular Season Round 12: AIK Basket - Hogsbo 88-98

Rather expected game when 5th ranked AIK Basket (6-5) lost to third ranked Hogsbo (8-2) in Solna 88-98 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 54-43 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Hogsbo looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. AIK Basket was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Croatian forward Toni Vitali (203-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Emil Lundstedt (175-94) contributed with 17 points and 7 assists for the winners. Guard Felix Lemetti (188-99, college: Fairfield) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 assists and naturalized Turkish guard Erkan Inan (195-89) added 9 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for AIK Basket. Five Hogsbo and four AIK Basket players scored in double figures. AIK Basket's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hogsbo maintains third position with 8-2 record having nine points less than leader KFUM Fryshuset. Loser AIK Basket keeps the fifth place with five games lost. Hogsbo will face Helsingborg (#7) at home in the next round. AIK Basket will play against Trelleborg and hope to win that game.
