Regular Season Round 13: Boet - Igualada 70-77

Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Boet (3-8) lost to first ranked Igualada (11-1) in Mataro 70-77 on Saturday. Igualada dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Boet's 36. It was a very good performance for power forward Roger Perez (203-96) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. Center Eduard Tejero (196-92) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Igualada's coach Jordi Marti allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward David Romero (191-90) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds and Miquel Puig (192-0) added 14 points in the effort for Boet. Five Boet players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Igualada. They maintain first place in Group C-A with 11-1 record, which they share with Vic. Boet lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. Igualada will face Martinenc (#3) in Barcelona in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Boet will play on the road against Andorra II (#9) and hope to win that game.
