Important game to mention about took place in Nancy. Third ranked Souffelweyersheim (8-2) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 9th ranked Sluc Nancy (5-5) 69-67 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Power forward Vincent Vent (207-97) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American-DR Congolese forward Cedric Kuakumensah (204-93, college: Brown) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Souffelweyersheim players scored in double figures. At the losing side Meredis Houmounou (188-88) responded with 5 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and American-Cuban swingman Yunio Barrueta (193-93, college: Barry, agency: Inception Sports) scored 15 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Souffelweyersheim keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Blois. Sluc Nancy at the other side keeps the ninth place with five games lost. They share the position with Lille. Souffelweyersheim will play against JA Vichy (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Sluc Nancy will play against Paris and hopes to get back on the winning track.
