Regular Season Round 13: Estudiantes B - Tobarra 62-79

There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Tobarra (5-7) defeated 9th ranked Estudiantes B (6-6) in Madrid 79-62 on Saturday. Tobarra looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Estudiantes B's players. It was a very good performance for Czech power forward Jakub Kasa (203-92) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Forward Miguel Raez (200-79) contributed with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Israeli center Gilad Levy (215-2) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and Chilean guard Ignacio Arroyo (190-0) added 9 points, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Estudiantes B. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tobarra moved-up to eleventh place in Group B, which they share with Guadalajara. Loser Estudiantes B keeps the ninth position with six games lost. Tobarra will face higher ranked Estudio (#10) in Madrid in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
