Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Ozzano (7-6) won against on the road 10th ranked Giulianova (5-8) 74-67 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for swingman Riccardo Iattoni (198-92) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 9 rebounds. Swingman Nunzio Corcelli (189-91) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Ozzano's coach Federico Grandi allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized Senegalese power forward Yande Fall (200-90) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 19 rebounds and point guard Mattia Cardellini (180-91) added 17 points in the effort for Giulianova. Four Giulianova players scored in double figures. Ozzano moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Giulianova keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. Ozzano will face higher ranked Civitanova (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Giulianova will play against Faenza (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
