The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked Nova Ves' (4-12) road loss to seventh ranked Handlova (7-9) 75-83 on Saturday. Handlova looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Nova Ves' players. Serbian point guard Stefan Mitrovic (195-96) notched 21 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and Bosnian Aleksandar Radukic (206-91, agency: 011 Sports) supported him with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Eric Nottage (187-94, college: FIU, agency: YoungGroup Unlimited) did not help to save the game for Nova Ves. Canadian guard Justus Alleyn (188-95, college: Manitoba) added 15 points and 5 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Handlova moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Iskra Svit. Nova Ves lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. Handlova will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nova Ves will play against Zilina (#5) and hope to secure a win.
