Twelfth-ranked Gipuzkoa UPV (3-9) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Valencia (9-3) in San Sebastian. The visitors from Valencia managed to secure only one-point victory 58-57. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a good game for point guard Anna Gomez (181-86) who saved her team from a defeat with 7 points and 7 rebounds. Mali power forward Meiya Tirera (186-86) contributed with 10 points for the winners. Valencia's coach Ruben Burgos allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Valencia have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Gernika. Gipuzkoa UPV at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. Valencia's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Zamarat (#14) in Zamora which should be an easy win for them. Gipuzkoa UPV will play on the road against Gernika and hope to win that game.
