Regular Season Round 13: Olivar - Mollet 74-70

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Mollet (8-4) against thirteenth ranked Olivar (3-9) on Saturday night. Visiting Mollet was defeated by Olivar in a tough game in Zaragoza 70-74. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Mollet. Olivar forced 20 Mollet turnovers. Mollet was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for power forward Aitor Etxeguren (205-2) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Javier Garcia (187-1) contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Santiago Serrataco (187-90) answered with 22 points and point guard Marc Pages (178-95) added 11 points in the effort for Mollet. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Olivar moved-up to eleventh place in Group C-B, which they share with Palma II. Loser Mollet keeps the second position with four games lost. Olivar will face higher ranked Mataro Feimat (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mollet will play against Salou and hope to win that game.
