Regular Season Round 12: Niigata R. - Chanson V-M 54-68

Bottom-ranked Niigata R. is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 11th consecutive match to eleventh ranked Chanson V-M (2-7) 68-54. Chanson V-M outrebounded Niigata R. 54-37 including a 27-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Sanae Motokawa (176-92) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward AI Ishikawa (183-99) who added 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Chanson V-M players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Raw Yoshinro (187-95) with 9 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Noriyoshi Taira (165-96) scored 10 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chanson V-M moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Yamanashi QB. Niigata R. at the other side still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Chanson V-M will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Niigata R. will play again at home against Chanson V-M (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
