Regular Season Round 13: Joventut - Manresa 104-106

A very close game took place in Badalona between La ICL Manresa and Joventut. Seventeenth ranked La ICL Manresa (4-9) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked Joventut (7-6). La ICL Manresa managed to escape with a 2-point win 106-104 on Saturday evening. La ICL Manresa made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Ryan Toolson (193-85, college: Utah Valley) fired 30 points for the winners (made all of his seven free throws). His fellow American import center David Kravish (209-92, college: California) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Slovenian guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) produced 29 points (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) and Slovenian center Alen Omic (216-92, agency: BeoBasket) added 15 points and 15 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Joventut players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. La ICL Manresa moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with UCAM Murcia and Fuenlabrada. Loser Joventut keeps the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with 6 other teams. La ICL Manresa will meet at home higher ranked Valencia Basket (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Joventut will play against FC Barcelona having rather not much hope for a victory.
