Regular Season Round 9: Kronos AD - Chania 63-86

Very expected game when 10th ranked Kronos AD (2-7) was rolled over at home by second ranked Chania (7-2) 86-63. They made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Chania players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a good game for point guard Angeliki Vintsilaiou (170-98) who led her team to a victory with 24 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Miranda Drummond (185, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 26 points for the winners. American forward Korinne Campbell (184-88, college: WVU) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Maria Tsankaropoulou added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Kronos AD. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Chania. Newly promoted Chania maintains second place with 7-2 record having just two points less than leader Olympiacos. Kronos AD lost their fifth game in a row. Kronos AD at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Niki Lefkadas. Chania will play against bottom-ranked Melissia (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kronos AD will play against Sporting in Athens and hopes to get back on the winning track.
