Everything could happen in Lugo at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Estudiantes L. and 10th ranked Xiria had identical 3-6 record. This time Estudiantes L. used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Carballo 79-63 on Sunday night. It was a very good performance for Lithuanian point guard Titas Janusevicius (188-1) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Gabriel Gomez (195-95) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Senegalese center Alioune Senghor (200-96) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and forward Ruben Rey (198-93) added 11 points in the effort for Xiria. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Estudiantes L. maintains eighth place in Group A-B with 4-6 record, which they share with Univ.Valladolid and La Antigua. Xiria lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost. Estudiantes L. will face league's leader Carbajosa on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Xiria will play against Fontedoso Carrefour (#5) and hope to win that game.
