Regular Season Round 26: Fukushima - Yamagata 82-75

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Yamagata (7-19) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Fukushima (9-15) 82-75. Fukushima players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. American forward Shaheed Davis (206-94, college: UCF) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Jamaican forward Staphon Blair (206-93, college: UCF) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. American forward Stephen Hurt (211-93, college: Kansas St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Jason Carter (206-92, college: Texas Southern, agency: Haylett Sports) added 10 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Yamagata. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fukushima maintains fourth position with 9-15 record. Yamagata at the other side keeps the sixth place with 19 games lost. Fukushima's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Nishinomiya S. in Hyogo and it may be the game of the week. Yamagata will play at home against Aomori W. (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
