No shocking result in a game when second ranked Talje Knights (6-2) outleveled at home 7th ranked Eskilstuna (3-6) 98-72 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Talje Knights. Eskilstuna was better in second period 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Talje Knights dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Eskilstuna's 48. Talje Knights forced 29 Eskilstuna turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Center Hampus Ramstedt (202-99) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard William Kermoury (194-4) chipped in 21 points, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Five Talje Knights players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Pontus Lennartsson (198-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and Spanish guard Julian Lopez (187-94) scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Talje Knights maintains second position in South with 6-2 record having six points less than leader KFUM Uppsala. Eskilstuna lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with six games lost. Talje Knights will face Haga BG (#3) in Norrkoping in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
