An interesting game for Panteras (20-11) which hosted in Aguascalientes one of their biggest challengers Aaguacateros (19-13). Third ranked Panteras managed to get a 5-point victory 84-79. Panteras made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game. American-Dominican forward Jose Rodriguez (201-92, college: Texas Southern) scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American center Benjamin Puckett (205-83, college: Clayton St.) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Rodney Green (196-88, college: La Salle) responded with 21 points (made all of his seven free throws) and Argentinian point guard Lucio Redivo (183-94) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Panteras maintains third position with 20-11 record having six points less than leader Mineros. Aaguacateros at the other side keep the fourth place with 13 games lost. Panteras will play against league's second-placed Capitanes in Mexico in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aaguacateros will play at home against Libertadores and hope to get back on the winning track.
