Gipuzkoa defeated 15th ranked Oviedo CB in San Sebastian 76-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Oviedo CB. Swingman Mikel Motos (193-93, college: Juaristi ISB) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and Latvian center Davis Rozitis (215-90, college: Hawaii) accounted for 14 points and 7 rebounds. Rozitis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Gipuzkoa players scored in double figures. Gipuzkoa's coach Inaki Martin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Alejandro Reyes (197-93) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and Lithuanian forward Rolandas Jakstas (202-92) added 19 points respectively for Oviedo CB in the defeat. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Valladolid. Oviedo CB at the other side keeps the fifteenth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Forca Lleida. Oviedo CB will play next round against Magia Huesca trying to get back on the winning streak. Gipuzkoa will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Palencia Baloncesto on the road.
