Leading Gorgan (10-2) recorded its second loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Naft Abadan (9-3) 61-53. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Gorgan. They outrebounded Gorgan 42-30 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by the former international swingman Saeid Davarpanah (190-87, agency: Interperformances) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and center Mahdi Moradinasab (202-92) supported him with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Even 11 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists by American-Guinea-Bissau point guard Perry Petty (185-88, college: UTRGV) did not help to save the game for Gorgan. Forward Yasin Kolahsangiani (200-92) added 12 points. Defending champion maintains fifth position with 9-3 record. Gorgan at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share the position with Mahram.
