Regular Season Round 7: Ramat Gan - Raanana 80-78

Seventh-ranked Raanana (2-5) gave a tough game to first ranked Maccabi Ramat Gan (6-1) in Ramat Hen on Monday. Maccabi Ramat Gan managed to secure only two-point victory 80-78. However their fans expected much easier game. Maccabi Ramat Gan made 18-of-18 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. It was a great evening for Kenyan-Canadian power forward Adut Bulgak (193-92, college: FSU, agency: Ron Sport) who led her team to a victory scoring 32 points and 8 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws). American guard Shenise Johnson (181-90, college: Miami, FL) helped adding 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. At the losing side American forward Kristen Simon (188-95, college: USC) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Teana Muldrow (188-95, college: WVU) scored 25 points and 9 rebounds. Maccabi Ramat Gan maintains first place with 6-1 record. Raanana at the other side keeps the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with M.Haifa. Maccabi Ramat Gan are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Petah Tikva (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Raanana will play against Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
