Regular Season Round 20: Pyrinto - BC Nokia 110-90

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked BC Nokia's (9-9) road loss to fifth ranked Pyrinto (11-9) 90-110 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Pyrinto. BC Nokia managed to win third quarter 30-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pyrinto looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was swingman Benjamin Raymond (198-87, college: Xavier) who scored 28 points and 5 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Forward Ray Nixon (203-84, college: Wisconsin) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Ladarius Tabb (197-93, college: AAMU) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and guard Demarcus Holland (193-94, college: Texas) added 17 points and 8 assists respectively for the guests. Five Pyrinto and four BC Nokia players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pyrinto moved-up to fourth place. BC Nokia lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Kataja. Pyrinto will meet league's second-placed Vilpas in the next round and it may be the game of the week. BC Nokia will play against Korihait (#12) and hope to secure a win.
