Bottom-ranked Grindavik is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 13th consecutive match to third ranked Keflavik (9-3) 72-67. Grindavik was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Venezuelan Daniela Wallen (180-95, college: Oklahoma City) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and international guard Katla Gardarsdottir (161-99) chipped in 17 points. At the losing side American guard Jordan Reynolds (180-95, college: Tennessee) responded with a triple-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists and international swingman Briet Hinriksdottir (181-96) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Grindavik players scored in double figures. Keflavik have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain third place with 9-3 record having just three points less than leader Valur. Newly promoted Grindavik still closes the standings with 13 games lost. Keflavik will play against Snaefell (#6) in Stykkisholmur in the next round. Grindavik will play at home against Breidablik and hopes to get finally their first victory.
