The most crucial game of the last day was another loss of 76ers (20-10) in Philadelphia. Hosts were rolled over by Mavericks (19-9) 117-98. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Mavericks made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for Latvian power forward Kristaps Porzingis (221-95) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Tim Hardaway-Jr (198-92, college: Michigan) helped adding 27 points. Four Mavericks players scored in double figures. Cameroonian center Joel Embiid (213-94, college: Kansas) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds and Australian point guard Ben Simmons (208-96, college: LSU) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mavericks keep a position of league leader, which they share with Houston R. 76ers lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the second place with ten games lost. Mavericks will have a break next day, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. 76ers will play at home against Wizards and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
