The game in Stykkisholmur supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Hamar (10-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Snaefell (2-10). Hamar smashed Snaefell 113-84. The game without a history. Hamar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Snaefell's 48. They outrebounded Snaefell 42-31 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Michael Phillips (201-90, college: Howard) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Everage Richardson (191-85, college: Coastal) contributed with 31 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Hamar players scored in double figures. Swedish Gabriel Adersteg (201-95, college: Bethesda) answered with 38 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Aron Hinriksson (183-0) added 17 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Snaefell. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hamar moved-up to second place, which they share with Breidablik. Snaefell at the other side dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Hamar will play against Vestri (#4) in the next round. Snaefell will have a break next round.
