No shocking result in a game when second ranked Toyota Alvark (18-5) smashed on the road 6th ranked Shimane Magic (7-16) 89-55 on Friday. They outrebounded Shimane Magic 43-25 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Toyota Alvark looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. Center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Forward Kevin Jones (206-89, college: WVU) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Toyota Alvark players scored in double figures. Center Brian Qvale (208-88, college: Montana) produced 24 points and 7 rebounds and forward Robert Carter (206-94, college: Maryland) added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyota Alvark have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 18-5 record behind leader Tochigi B. Newly promoted Shimane Magic keeps the sixth place with 16 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
