The best player for the winners was Argentinian center Ignacio Alessio (203-87) who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Argentinian point guard Nicolas Ferreyra (185-85) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Four Deportivo Valdivia players scored in double figures. Deportivo Valdivia's coach Juan Manuel Cordoba allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was A Sainrtilus who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds and American guard Kenny Wormley (193-96, college: Hofstra) added 25 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Deportivo Valdivia. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Loser Temuco dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. Deportivo Valdivia will face CD Puerto Varas (#4) at home in the next round. Temuco will play against the league's second-placed Universidad de Concepcion and hope to win that game.
