Regular Season Round 14: Valladolid - Caceres 77-76

Ninth-ranked Caceres Basket (7-7) made lots of trouble for second ranked Carramimbre (11-3) in Valladolid on Friday. Carramimbre managed to secure only one-point victory 77-76. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was center Sergio De-La-Fuente (198-89) who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Frank Bartley-IV (190-94, college: La-Lafayette) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. Bartley IV is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Jorge Bilbao (203-95, college: UT Arlington) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and guard Aitor Zubizarreta (190-95, college: Idaho Coll.) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Carramimbre keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Delteco GBC. Caceres Basket lost third consecutive game. Caceres Basket at the other side keeps the ninth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Alicante. Carramimbre is looking forward to face CB Granada (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Caceres Basket will play against Leyma Basquet (#6) in Coruna and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
