Regular Season Round 11: Evreux - Quimper 70-86

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Quimper UJAP (7-4) beat on the road 14th ranked ALM Evreux (4-7) 86-70 on Friday. Quimper UJAP forced 23 ALM Evreux turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for Nigerian forward Chima Moneke (190-95, college: UC Davis) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American David Jackson (192-86, college: W.Illinois) helped adding 21 points. Quimper UJAP's coach Laurent Foirest used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Antoine Wallez (205-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and American point guard Jerrold Brooks (183-91, college: S.Mississippi) scored 15 points and 8 assists. Four ALM Evreux players scored in double figures. Quimper UJAP moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Vichy Clermont. Loser ALM Evreux dropped to the thirteenth position with seven games lost. Quimper UJAP will face JA Vichy (#6) at home in the next round. ALM Evreux will play against Saint-Quentin (#17) and hope to win that game.
