A very interesting game took place in Paris. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 15th ranked Paris (3-8) to tenth ranked Sluc Nancy (6-5) 95-93 on Friday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. 24 personal fouls committed by Paris helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American Ronald Lewis (193-84, college: Ohio St., agency: Pensack Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 6 assists. American-Cuban swingman Yunio Barrueta (193-93, college: Barry, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Sluc Nancy's coach Christian Monschau allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international forward Nobel Boungou-Colo (202-88, agency: Interperformances) answered with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Gauthier Denis (198-97) added 24 points in the effort for Paris. Five Paris players scored in double figures. Sluc Nancy moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Rouen and Lille. Paris at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with eight games lost. Sluc Nancy's next round opponent will be higher ranked Denain Voltaire (#4) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Paris will play against Olympique Antibes (#11) and hope to win that game.
