Regular Season Round 11: Saint-Chamond - Nantes 73-55

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Nantes' (7-5) road loss to fourth ranked Saint Chamond (8-3) 55-73 on Friday. It was a great evening for point guard Mathieu Guichard (187-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 8 assists. Croatian forward Jure Skific (202-88, agency: 011 Sports) helped adding 18 points. Saint Chamond's coach Alain Thinet used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American swingman Rene Rougeau (198-86, college: UNLV, agency: Blacktop Management) responded with 10 points and 9 rebounds and American-Armenian point guard Terry Smith (185-86, college: Mercyhurst) scored 11 points and 5 assists. Saint Chamond have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Souffel. Loser Nantes dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Saint Chamond will face SPO Rouen (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nantes will play against Poitiers and hope to win that game.
