Very expected game in Carballo where 12th ranked Xiria (3-8) was defeated by fifth ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (8-3) 88-71 on Saturday. Fontedoso Carrefour made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Fontedoso Carrefour outrebounded Xiria 39-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. Point guard Jaume Lobo (180-97) scored 38 points (!!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Czech center Tomas Hampl (215-88) chipped in 18 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Forward Martin Bello (195-97) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds and Senegalese center Alioune Senghor (200-96) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Xiria's coach Fernando Buendia let to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Fontedoso Carrefour moved-up to second place in Group A-B, which they share with 3 other teams. Xiria lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth position with eight games lost.
