Regular Season Round 60: Philadelphia 76 - Washington W. 125-108

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked 76ers as it allowed them to take a leadership position. 76ers defeated 4th ranked Wizards in Philadelphia 125-108. They outrebounded Wizards 53-38 including 16 on the offensive glass. 76ers looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Cameroonian center Joel Embiid (213-94, college: Kansas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and Australian point guard Ben Simmons (208-96, college: LSU) who added 14 points, 8 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Five 76ers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Bradley Beal (196-93, college: Florida) with 36 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 6 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and swingman Troy Brown-Jr (201-99, college: Oregon, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Wizards lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 20 games lost.
