Regular Season Round 13: Milano - Albino 69-49

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Albino (6-8) was smashed on the road by eleventh ranked Milano (6-7) 69-49 on Saturday. Milano dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Albino's 28. They outrebounded Albino 48-36 including 36 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for point guard Elena Quaroni (170-98) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Stefania Guarneri (182-95) contributed with 8 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Polish forward Klaudia Grudzien (184-90) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and forward Patrizia De-Gianni (190-88) added 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Albino. Albino's coach tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Milano moved-up to tenth place in A2. Loser Albino dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. Milano will face Marghera (#15) in Venezia in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Albino will play at home against Udine (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
