We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked USE Basket (8-5) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Alba (8-5) 74-67 on Saturday. Alba outrebounded USE Basket 38-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. USE Basket was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Diego Terenzi (190-95) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Cristian De-Bartolomeo (-0) chipped in 11 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Alba players scored in double figures. Forward Gabriele Giarelli (200-93) responded with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Argentinian Juan-Manuel Caceres (200-84, agency: Interperformances) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. USE Basket's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Alba moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with Omnia Basket. Alba will face Piombino (#6) on the road in the next round. USE Basket will play against Alessandria FB and hope to win that game.
