Regular Season Round 13: Alpo VF - San Martino 68-47

Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked San Martino (6-6) was outscored by second ranked Alpo VF (10-3) in Verona 68-47 on Saturday. Alpo VF forced 22 San Martino turnovers. It was a very good performance for Bosnian Marina Dzinic (190-92) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 9 rebounds. Swingman Marta Granzotto (173-92) contributed with 7 points and 8 assists for the winners. Four Alpo VF players scored in double figures. Guard Sara Toffolo (184-0) answered with 4 points and 10 rebounds and guard Claudia Amabiglia (172-98) added 12 points in the effort for San Martino. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Alpo VF went down to third position (A2) due to points difference. Loser San Martino keeps the eighth place with six games lost. Alpo VF will face Bolzano BK (#6) on the road in the next round. San Martino will play against Vicenza and hope to win that game.
