Rather expected game when 6th ranked Albacete (7-8) was defeated at home by third ranked Real Murcia (11-4) 94-81 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-81. The best player for the winners was forward Juan Rubio (196-95) who scored 21 points. Jamaican power forward Clint Robinson (203-94, college: UIC) chipped in 20 points. Real Murcia's coach Rafael Monclova used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Dominican Eddy Polanco (190-94, college: SE Louisiana) who recorded 17 points and 7 rebounds and Canadian forward Ryan Ejim (201-93, college: Carleton) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Real Murcia maintains third place in Silver with 11-4 record behind leader UBU Tizona. Loser Albacete dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. Real Murcia will face La Roda (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Albacete will play against the league's second-placed CB Prat (#2) and hope to win that game.
