Very expected game when 14th ranked Zamarat (2-11) was defeated on the road by third ranked Valencia (10-3) 62-49. Valencia outrebounded Zamarat 39-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. The former international swingman Queralt Casas (177-92) nailed 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side and American forward Joy Brown (180-93, college: Iona) accounted for 16 points and 9 rebounds. Valencia's coach Ruben Burgos allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Brittany McPhee (183-96, college: Stanford) came up with 15 points and Danish forward Maria Jespersen (183-94, college: S.Florida) added 14 points respectively for Zamarat in the defeat.
