There was a small surprise when fifteenth ranked Crema (4-10) defeated on the road 13th ranked Varese Robur (4-10) 70-57 on Saturday. Swingman Pietro Del-Sorbo (191-85) scored 9 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Riccardo Antonelli (208-88) chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. The former international forward Marco Allegretti (204-81) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds and guard Matteo Maruca (186-97) scored 13 points. Varese Robur's coach Francesco Vescovi tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Crema moved-up to fourteenth place in B, which they share with defeated Varese Robur. Crema will face higher ranked Padova (#3) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
