Regular Season Round 14: Rybnik - AZS PCz 90-80

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Rybnik (3-10) defeated at home higher ranked AZS PCz (6-7) 90-80 on Saturday. AZS PCz was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Lukasz Ochodek (197-82) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Andrzej Mazur (203-98) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Rybnik players scored in double figures. Point guard Adam Skiba (180-99) replied with 18 points and 4 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and forward Marcin Majcherek (199-99) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for AZS PCz. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Rybnik maintains twelfth position in Group C with 3-10 record. Loser AZS PCz dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost. Rybnik will face league's second-placed AZS AGH KR in Krakow in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
