Regular Season Round 24: Aisin AW - Shizuoka 79-78

Ninth-ranked Shizuoka (9-13) made lots of trouble for third ranked Aisin AW (16-8) in Aichi. Aisin AW managed to secure only one-point victory 79-78. However their fans expected much easier game. The winners were led by point guard Yuki Ishihara (180-91) who scored that evening 23 points and American Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) supported him with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Four Aisin AW players scored in double figures. Aisin AW's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 22 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists by American forward Roschon Prince (198-94, college: Detroit Mercy) did not help to save the game for Shizuoka. His fellow American import forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida, agency: Inception Sports) added 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Aisin AW maintains third position with 16-8 record having four points less than leader Iwate Big Bulls. Newly promoted Shizuoka keeps the ninth place with 13 games lost. Aisin AW's next round opponent will be Tokyo CR (#10) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Shizuoka will play against Saitama Broncos and hope to win that game.
